Lancaster 2027 will bring young people, families, sports clubs, volunteers, schools, businesses and community groups together to help host an unforgettable International Youth Games.
Whether you want to take part, support a sport, welcome visitors, volunteer your time or help fund the Games, there will be a role for you.
There are several ways to support Lancaster 2027. Some roles will open closer to the Games, while others are already important as we begin planning, recruiting and fundraising.
Young people from Lancaster District will have the chance to represent the city, meet visitors from across Europe and take part in sport, culture and friendship events.
Host families will play a vital role in welcoming visiting young people and leaders, helping Lancaster offer a warm and memorable Games experience.
Volunteers will help with the smooth running of the Games, including event support, welcome teams, information points and practical help during the week.
Sports clubs and leaders are central to the Games, helping organise teams, venues, competition formats and links with visiting cities.
Schools and youth organisations can help young people hear about the Games, support cultural activity and encourage community involvement.
Local businesses, organisations and supporters can help through sponsorship, practical support, services, fundraising or spreading the word.
Whether you are a young person, parent, club, school, volunteer, business or community supporter, we would love to hear from you.
Lancaster 2027 will need people with different skills, experiences and connections to help make the Games a success.
Lancaster 2027 is currently being planned with local sports clubs, community partners and our international twin and partner cities.
More information about participant registration, host families, volunteer roles and event support will be added as plans develop.
In the meantime, anyone interested in being involved is welcome to contact us so we can keep you updated.
The International Youth Games relies on people, clubs, families, schools, businesses and community supporters coming together.
Whether you can give time, offer support, spread the word or help connect us with others, your involvement can make a real difference.
